Cindy Baldwin is the President and Chief Operating Officer in charge of Operations, having overall responsibility for owner and employee relationships and for ensuring that the highest level of satisfaction is attained at every level of the operation -- from clients to co-workers. She is a Certified General Contractor, (having grown up in the construction field with her Father), a LEED-AP and was the first person in Florida to be CM-BIM certified.
With over 23 years of diverse AECO Industry experience, Cindy is recognized nationally for her expertise in BIM and Virtual Design and Construction process and implementation strategies. She has a proven ability to lead her team of Building Information Modeling, construction professionals, subcontractors and design professionals, while maintaining a strong Client relationship. Cindy’s key strengths include reducing risk for her Clients and increasing efficiency in production through BIM & VDC. Her communication, problem solving and training skills help her excel throughout the entire project. Cindy coordinates internal company-wide BIM support and development of future BIM technology as it fits into the construction / industry workflow.
Nicholas has over 41 years in the industry and brings a diverse project experience as a BIM Project Manager and process expert. In addition, Nicholas has construction experience and is responsible for coordinating all trades on projects. He determines project schedules, oversees subcontractors and ensures the project runs smoothly from start to finish. Nicholas excels at supervising all aspects of projects in the field including safety, subcontractor coordination, change order tracking, material procurement, quality control, site coordination and project flow and has a high attention to detail. In addition, Nicholas is involved with the development of models for demonstration of site staging and logistics plans, construction phasing, project sequencing and scheduling; Conducting detailed model reviews to meet quality control expectations in regard to model accuracy and completeness; and coordination and management of file protocols with staff and sub-consultants. Nicholas’s responsibilities are quite varied and include coordination of MEP systems as well as helping teams understand the 3D/4D/5D benefits as it relates to the VDC Process. Nicholas participates in project kick-off meetings and performs clash detection, logistic planning, construction phasing and monitors model information requests (MIR’s) on numerous projects. Nicholas current project experience includes the $1.5 billion expansion at The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino which includes a unique 35-story guitar shaped hotel.
Derek started his construction career as a construction estimator and brings his extensive experience in cost estimating and scheduling to the VDC Process. His advanced modeling practices include the use of DProfile, Navisworks, ArchiCad Graphisoft, On-screen takeoff and Autodesk Revit to leverage information in the models to increase accuracy, coordination, costing and constructability in the BIM Process. In addition, he is leading our Mixed Reality technology (Augmented and Virtual) with the use of the Microsoft HoloLens self-contained holographic computer to create digital and real content co-existing environments on the field. Dereck provides BIM support to multiple projects focusing on clash detection and model management, design review and 4D & 5D modeling. Derek is responsible for Quantity Take-Offs, Scheduling, Budgeting and Overall BIM Project Management for the projects he is involved in. Derek participates in project kick-off meetings and performs clash detection, logistic planning, construction phasing and monitors model information requests (MIR’s) on numerous projects. His most recent projects include the coordination and modeling of an $140 million Medical Village. Construction of the Medical Village's first phase primarily focused on a 145,000-square-foot building, which will include an Emergency Department, an Outpatient Surgery Center, Rehabilitation Center, Clinics and Holistic Health and Care Coordination Services and the Healthy Life Center. Other project experience includes an 88,000 SF mixed-use building for Florida International University, a 285 unit luxury waterfront residential complex for North Bay Village in Miami Beach and a $560M, 57 story luxury residential tower design by Porsche Design Studio; which includes a complex robotic parking garage and driver ride elevators.
